What is Jazz dance?
Jazz dance has many styles within its genre. Jazz can be very technical with slow and sleek movements or a more up-beat pop style as seen on music videos today. It combines elements of traditional jazz dance with age-appropriate movements, music and choreography to create a fun and engaging experience for children.
Our jazz classes involve a jazz style warm up utilising isolations, strength and flexibility, moves into some technical steps and followed by a jazz routine.
Jazz dance for children provides a joyful introduction to dance and movement, allowing kids to explore their creativity and develop physical skills in a supportive and entertaining environment. It can foster a lifelong appreciation for dance and may serve as a stepping stone for more advanced dance training if a child chooses to pursue dance further.
